Let's talk fragrance

Scents have always been a bit part of our lives.

My fondest memory is one of my mum spraying her perfume, Eau de Charlotte by Annick Goutal on my plush rabbit before going for sleepovers at a friend's house. That way, she felt I was always carrying a bit of home with me, wherever I went. It became a ritual and I would struggle to fall asleep without it! And who would not love notes of blackcurrant buds, mimosa, cocoa and vanilla to rest in the arms of Morpheus?

After that, I can think of many other scents from different times of my life and childhood. It's crazy the power a scent can have and how you are transported to a specific time and place with just a whiff!

It was only natural that both me and my sister gravitated towards niche perfumers after that, exploring Annick Goutal from very fresh, citrus fragrances to rosewood, iris and beeswax.

More recently, going back to France for the summer, I re-discovered a perfumer I had left behind L'artisan Parfumeur. One of their iconic fragrance, Mûre et Musc with notes of blackberry, lemon and musk was loved both by my mum and sister alike.

I was so avid to discover their most recent additions!

Comes l'eau de Cologne Sur l'herbeAdmittedly, it was so difficult to choose and I spent so long smelling all the bottles! Every name they have picked is so inviting and you get excited before even opening the bottle!

Sur l'herbe is a very fresh cologne with notes of bergamot, musk and orange blossom. Pretty much all of my favourite smells bottled up in one classic and elegant packaging.

I have been enjoying wearing this fragrance for the past 5 months and so too has Lachlan. The freshness makes it a great choice for His and Hers =)

What scent are you wearing at the moment? I would love to know!

Do you change perfume regularly or are you loyal to one and one only?
